Day 3 - 10:15am

I was just thinking about how many body has responded so far to the little Whole 30. I feel like I am sleeping better. My poop feels better. That is just odd to write, but I feel more regular and complete when I have to go. Today my shirt and pants feel a little better. Yesterday my pants felt a little tight. It could be self delusion. It could be that I was bloated. It could be me getting rid of lots of things. I have certainly peed a lot. I don't really have cravings or regrets yet. I have a bit of a headache each morning. I am not giving up caffeine completely yet. I have about 3 cups of tea. So I am now way below my normal intake.

It is fun to come up with no creative ways to eat. Last night's orange horseradish chicken was just outstanding. One of my favorite things I have eaten in a while.

Day 1 - 10:47 am

This is mainly a record for me as I go through the process of doing a Whole 30 with the wife.

Yesterday (probably regretfully!) we went out for our last carbs and sugar. Neither of us felt especially great after that. I love me some DiPalma's, but when you've had a week of eating relatively healthy followed by a weekend of wedding food and on the road type food, it just amounted to some not so bueno moments.

This morning for breakfast I cooked our normal morning meal - two eggs, half a chicken sausage, spinach, green onions and a half a banana. Betsy is going to cut caffeine, so I joined her. I had two cups of black tea this morning instead. I may have another after lunch depending on if my energy level drops.

Overall - I have a headache. Nothing too bad. My stomach is a little...something. I don't think it is hunger as much as it is needing water...or rebellion.

Just had an apple for a morning break. Lunch is in about an hour.

I figure like fasting these first few days will be kinda rough. But...after that it will get better. So for now...work through the headache!
